As a wise man once said,
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
But it takes the greatest of responsibility to maintain immense power.
And it gets even more dangerous, if maintained for a generation.
And it gets even more dangerous, if maintained for a generation.
In the times we live now, Power is just a 5 letter word.
It’s depth and understanding, in terms of responsibility, both qualitatively as well as quantitatively, is meagre.
On the other hand, your freedom of thought and expression coupled with its execution lies in the hands of almost nobody. Each being is too delicate to exercise their rights and wrongs.
Hence we have no legends, just common people.
The icing on this social structure lies in the hands of those who can be seen and heard on virtual screens or second hand information. And instead of them alone being able to walk the talk, there are tens and hundreds of minds teamed up to run this image of their’s that is portrayed of them.
Coming to the point.
Nobility, knowledge, wisdom, strength, a visionary, a designer, a musician, a scholar of medicine, a writer, and an exponent strategist.
All of this, in one man is unbelievable.
What a complex character, he would be.
The only thing he has to be scared of all his life is going to be the opposites of all of his character traits.
Who would let this man live in the system and prosper?
As they look like fools sitting of high chairs?
And, if he manages to live, he will be loved for long but as he starts to get old, his nobility will give way to arrogance, for he returns back home alive with a burden of hatred.
We are pointing to the most complicated villains in mythology.
The one who still has the strength to be burnt every year and yet survive in the minds of each of our hearts.
The Ravana.
Let’s put an end to this nonsense for now and listen to what the mythological expert and legendary storyteller Anand Neelkantan has to say.
Here is Anand Neelakantan’s take on the subject.
