The woman alchemist from Ladakh shares a true insight into the hard life and livelihood at the ‘Roof of the World’.
We journeyed into Chang La, bumped into the traditional nomads,
The Chang Pa, are the indigenous shepherds of Ladakh.
The alchemist from the ‘Roof of the World’ gave us a glimpse into the their life and livelihood.
Most of these nomads are content with their preferred vocation of Shepherdry. Its been done since generations.
The Chang Pa people, during their day-to-day activities face the threat of being hunted by the Snow Leopard. So they devise their own ways of defence – ingenious little rope guns and even with the help of dogs who scout the land, they have learnt the art of survival in the harshest land of India.
Let’s awaken the youth through more such true stories,
Lets make Ladakh a real awakened paradise,
Lets give birth to sustainable tourism at the ‘Roof of the World’.
Lets understand #ladakhforreal
